Please note: If you use an in-car navigation system, it is likely that you will be directed via Torbay and Kingswear, and then crossing the River Dart on the vehicle ferry.
At the end of the M5, near Exeter, follow signs for PLYMOUTH A38.
After approximately 18 miles on the A38, turn onto the A384 – signposted for TOTNES & DARTMOUTH.
After a further 5 miles, as you enter TOTNES, just after a pedestrian footbridge, take the right hand lane and turn right at the traffic lights on the A381 signed DARTMOUTH.
After a further 6 miles, pass through the village of HALWELL, then turn left on the A3122. (Signed Dartmouth).
After a further 5 miles, go straight on at the roundabout adjacent to Dartmouth ‘Park and Ride’, then after passing a ‘BP’ petrol station, turn right at a mini roundabout onto the A379, signed to STOKE FLEMING.
After a further 2 miles you enter STOKE FLEMING village (20mph restriction). The road bends sharp left at the post office, then after a further 150yds, pass the entrance to 'Leonards Cove' on your left, and a bus-stop on your right. Just three yards (3, honestly!) beyond the bus-stop, turn right up a little lane. A few yards up the lane there is a car park on your left; ignore the notice which says 'Endsleigh Court residents only', and park in one of the un-numbered bays on the right. Southfield House is a few yards further up the lane - on your right just beyond a 'Private Drive' sign.

* If you have in-car navigation, your system may direct you off the A38 towards Torquay. This will save you a few miles, but will bring you to Dartmouth via the River Dart ferry, which can sometimes be subject to delays.

By Rail: Our nearest railway station is Totnes, and buses to Dartmouth are routes 91 and 111. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Buses from Dartmouth to Stoke Fleming are routes 93 and 393, and the journey takes about 10 minutes. Taxis are also available in both Totnes and Dartmouth; fare to Stoke Fleming from Totnes circa £30, from Dartmouth circa £6. (In reality it is more than likely we could meet your bus and pick you up from Dartmouth).
By Sea: Car/passenger ferries operate daily from France and Spain to Plymouth. On leaving the Ferry Terminal follow A379 for 18 miles to Kingsbridge. At Kingsbridge, continue on !379 for a further 10 miles, passing through Torcross and Strete, and on to Stoke Fleming. Southfield house is on your left, about half a mile after you enter the village.
